The description. Bichon Frise — a dog with a snow-white, strongly twisted fluffy wool and it is dashing a magnificent tail — the city dweller. Long, soft, and twisted the wool, and also an underfur well protect Bichon Frise (21 — 31 sm) from a rain. Some clubs suppose cream or apricot stains on a white background at Bichon Frise to 19-month's age. In the USA the silky structure of a wool is not approved, and Great Britain admits.
History. Several centuries ago Bichon Frise were popular in Spain but how they have got there, it is not known. There is an opinion that they were brought on an island of Tenerife by the Spanish seamen. Under other assumption the first Phoenician seamen have brought bichon to Tenerife, and already from island they have got on continent. Anyway Bichon Frise existed how they were opened again by seafarers in the beginning of XIV century.
In XVI century French bichon became favourites of the court nobility and enjoyed a favour at a royal court yard. In the end of XIX century Bichon Frise has turned to a usual street dog. After the First World War breed began to revive and has got the former noble status.
