ORIGIN. This breed has been received by crossing colli from a dingo.
The BREED DESCRIPTION. Dogs of this breed usually not so large. Height : 43-48 sm at dogs, 41-46 sm at a bitch. Weight: 18-23 kg - dogs, 16-20 kg - bitch. A wool a straight line, rigid, short enough. Colour: blue, blue with black or chestnut marks, red with black marks on a head.
CHARACTER. A dog clever, obedient and artful enough.
USE. For many years this dog is the irreplaceable assistant to the Australian farmers. It equally successfully grazes herds and protects a farm and dwelling. Australian Shepherd it is adapted for work on the big open spaces and can cover considerably big distances, than representatives of the majority of other breeds.
The NOTE. For many years of work as shepherds at these dogs the reflex was developed to bite cows for feet on purpose to force them to go faster and not to beat off from herd. They sometimes transfer this habit and on people.
