ORIGIN. Alaskan Malamute - northern breed conducting the family tree from the Arctic wolf. The name "Malamute" occurs from the name alaskan a tribe malemute, planting these dogs.
The BREED DESCRIPTION. Malamute - large enough, well combined dog, able to behave with the big advantage. Height dogs - about 64 sm, bitch - nearby - 58 sm. CHARACTER. Malamute - exclusively betrayed, and also a clever and benevolent dog. However it can be very aggressive in relation to the colleagues. The strict owner and good training is necessary for it. This dog is very clean, practically has no smell and never barks.
USE. Malamute - a draught dog. Thanks to the endurance, ability to be guided on open space and to a fine scent, malamute have become irreplaceable participants of many polar expeditions. Jack London and R.Kipling wrote about these dogs in the stories. Last decades malamute even more often become house favourites, and, thanks to the accuracy, sociability and goodwill, they in this role become very popular.
